Icchan's back to go BOOM!!
I went down by TJ's apartment after work today. Dan was there when I got there. We just chilled, and I showed Dan the Mega Man OVA, since I brought it with me. I also brought them both curry breads from a Japanese cafe I head to once in a while next to Book-Off (the ULTIMATE gold mine for manga, anime, J-Pop, and what have you!). Speaking of which...
I FOUND NEW GALLERY ITEMS!!
Two of my J-Pop goddesses, the beautiful and talented Rina Aiuchi, and the equally beautiful and sweet-voiced Ayumi Hamasaki were available for purchase...$15 each...both albums I had been dying to get for a while now.
*You bought the Gallery Item "Rina Aiuchi ~A.I.R.~ Album"!
*You bought the Gallery Item "Ayumi Hamasaki ~A Song For XX~ Album"!
Why did I want these two particular albums, you ask? For one, Miss Aiuchi's album contained the song "CODE CRUSH", best known as the Japanese OP song to Rockman X7. Miss Hamasaki, on the other hand, has the song "Depend On You", the OP theme to an RPG favorite of me, TJ, and Melba: Thousand Arms.
So anyway, the three of us watched the Mega Man OVA, TJ did his stuff online, and Dan played my copy of Astro Boy: Omega Factor for GBA for a while. We stayed in the house till TJ's mom came home, then we left and headed to J & L for a bit to check some of the stuff out.
Their Sega Saturn games look lonely...and some are Gallery Items...hmmm....
After that, we checked out Elizabeth Center, then headed uptown. We stopped at Tower Video since I was looking for another Gallery Item: Monty Python and the Holy Grail Collector's Edition. No dice. Maybe next week. Then from around a corner of the store came...*cue Cinnamon's theme from Rockman X Command Mission* Kristine! I was happy to see my little sister again! She hugged us all and joined up with us. She also brought a friend of hers from school with her. But her friend had to leave, so we walked her to the A/C/E train so she could get home, then we went to Best Buy on 23rd for a bit. I NEARLY ended up buying Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie on DVD (hey, it was $10!), but decided not to, lest TJ kill me for that one. :p
After Best Buy, we walked back to 14th Street. Dan saw us off there and headed home, while TJ was heading uptown to see Modesta and Kristine was heading home on the L train. I saw them off, headed to the PATH, came home, ripped my new CDs, and now I'm about to save the day's progress for another time.
Saturday is going to be a big huge day, as the Blue Rogues, new and familiar faces alike, gather for a day of saving the world and seeing Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior. What new challenges will they face on their day trip? Will Kristine's trip to Katsukon be kick-ass? And what of the news of ShoPro licensing Naruto and BoBoBo~Bo Bo~BoBo?? It's not quite the end of Icchan The Hero yet, but all the answers will be coming up in the next episode: "Some Like It To Go BOOM!!!" Till then...ta-ta!!
